frequently asked questions
Q :: Will you help us decide what to wear for photos?
A :: I'm happy to make recommendations based on what works best. We'll consider the number of people and your backdrop.
Q :: What locations do you recommend?
A :: The best locations are ones that are meaningful to you, whether it's a beach, a park, your backyard or wandering historic Charleston. For beach sessions with vacationing families, I have an Isle of Palms business license and shoot most frequently on IOP and at Wild Dunes. I also maintain a Boone Hall photography pass, which makes a great location for small families.
Q :: How do I secure a spot on your calendar?
A :: Just respond to the proposal I email, remit your deposit, and you're officially booked!
Q :: What if weather threatens our session plans?
A :: I encourage vacationers to book early in the week. This minimizes sunburns and tan lines and allows for a rain date later in the week. In summer, pop-up storms are frequent but brief. I live close to IOP, so we'll stay in communication and do our best to make your session happen.
Q :: How long will it take to get my photos?
A :: Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive your online image gallery for family sessions. Wedding photos take a little longer to cull and edit, about 4 weeks.
Q :: After our beach reunion, my family heads home to different states. How can everyone get the photos from our session?
A :: After I email the gallery link with the family member who booked the session, they can forward it to each family member that participated. Everyone at the session will have the ability to download the digital files to keep and use.
Q :: How do you recommend we store our photos?
A :: Once you download your digital images, please make backup copies of the files in a few locations (a different computer, a flash drive, in the cloud). Next, choose your favorites to display and enjoy! I offer prints, wall art and heirloom albums from palm-sized up to two laps wide.
