Betsy & Brent | I’On Creek Club Wedding

Posted on February 29, 2012

11.11.11. It was a gorgeous autumn day, and a special Veterans Day for a tall, handsome Air Force pilot and his spunky bride. And even in her fab five-inch heels, Betsy was still sweet and petite next to Brent! This was a perfect fall wedding at Creek Club at I’On. The girls prepped at Stella Nova and got ready in one of the suites in the Jacob Bond House. Catering by Jacob’s Kitchen.

Two’s Company | Daniel Island Family Photography

Posted on February 18, 2012

Robyn, little Libby and I had a fun morning at a Daniel Island park. Robyn’s second daughter is due to arrive in a few more weeks (doesn’t she look fantastic!?), and she wanted a few shots just hanging out with her firstborn, marveling in her Twoness.

I don’t typically shoot maternity photography. Frankly, the trends of the genre are a bit creepy to me, so I leave it to those who specialize in it. That said, I was more than happy to document this gorgeous mom-to-be, who I last saw in an appletini bridesmaid dress at DeBordieu. I do enjoy unscripted family sessions, just watching kids as they explore, find treasures and ponder things.

As much as we all document the “big stuff” like first days of school, a lost tooth, costumes, birthdays and performances, so much of what’s magical about kids is the everyday stuff. Hopefully a few of these images will serve as a reminder of how gorgeous a pregnant mom can be and how special a little QT with a cutie can be. I know Libby will be a great big sis — even if she doesn’t get her way with the name she’s picked out for the baby.

Girls have lots to tell their moms. Even if they are only two.

So Mama. I'll always be your number one girl, right?

Featured on Wedding Row Charlotte | Engagement Photography

Posted on February 14, 2012

How exciting! On this day all about celebrating love, Ashley & Will’s historic Charleston engagement session is being featured on Wedding Row Charlotte. The couple lives in NC and will wed in Charlotte this summer. Thanks for sharing the love, Alicia! You can see my original post with a few other images here.

An added Valentine bonus is that I booked an adorable October bride during lunch today. Her relaxed island affair is going to be perfect. Cowboy boots for bride and bridesmaids? Bluegrass and an island sunset? Oh yeah. Right up my alley. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Bailey & Brian | Founders Hall Wedding

Posted on February 1, 2012

Bailey and Brian wed at Founders Hall in Charlestowne Landing. Early November was the ideal time to take advantage of the few weeks where the grasses were purple, and her woodsy details were a perfect match for the setting. Purple and green are my favorite colors, and fun couple made it easy to love documenting their day! The emerald green bridesmaid dresses (by Alfred Sung) are such a rich shade. The gals from Article 5 Salon did a fantastic job on hair and makeup, and the spacious room at Founders Hall made getting ready so easy and relaxed. Kala and Claire at Mod Events helped Bailey bring her ideas to fruition, and Branch Design Studio created the gorgeous woodland-themed florals. DeClare Cakes created the red velvet masterpiece, and Creative Sound DJ kept the dance floor full. Hope you enjoy checking out this Founders Hall wedding as much as I enjoyed spending the day with Bailey and Brian.
